MOCK (Puzzle Rock): Vertrackte Dynamiken, sauschöne Harmonien, vereinzelte Gesangsparts und ganz viel Gespür für Details. Erst nachdem das letzte Puzzelteil seinen Platz gefunden hat, erkennt man die Schönheit des Motivs in Gänze.

APUÑALA (Rock): APUÑALAS Songs sind vielfältig und bunt. Das treibende Schlagzeug und der gefühlsgeladene Gesang teilen sich den Platz mit langsamen Parts und mitreisenden Basslinien.

JEJEJE (PostPop): Eingängige Guitarrenmelodien, minimalistische repetitive Basslinien, eklektisches Druming und fesselnde Stimmen. Weniger ist mehr!

COLAFANTASPRITE (EmoJazz): Sorgfältig konstruierte Phrasen, manchmal laut aber vor allem unbekümmert und ergreifend. Die jazzinspririerte Emo Guitarre und Mathrockbasslinien greifen wunderschön ineinander. Zusammen mit der filigranen Schlagzeugarbeit eine durch und durch gelungene Apologie ihres Könnens.

ROTO (Punk): Roto macht experimentellen Punk. Kaputt, vielschichtig, wild und irgendwie hält das Gerüst doch.

Familea Miranda (Chile/España)

Familea Miranda started in Chile (in 1999 they rose from the ashes of bands like Supersordo, Políticos Muertos or Insurgentes), inspired ethically and aesthetically by the bands mentioned before. A few years later, in 2007, they moved to Barcelona, until today. The trio’s biography is one that causes admiration and respect: over six studio records, tours around Europe and South America, they have performed with bands like Man… or Astroman? No Means No, Sabot, The Ex… Familea Miranda has passion, but they also work a lot (like with Betunizer or Za!)

Their new LP, “Radiopharm” has been recorded and mixed by the bass guitarist of the band, Milo Gomberoff, at the LPM Studios in Barcelona and mastered by Norman Nitzsche at Calyx Mastering in Berlin. It’s the first album the band has recorded with their new drummer –the Catalan Alex Farré (ex member of the very missed Parmesano) It’s no surprise that “Radiopharm” confirms what we already knew, they still have that post-hardcore beat, driven by lyrics that are not shy of social and emotional compromise.

Parmesano don’t park very well. When they recorded their EP, the tow car took their car. Next time, they'd like to take the tow car with their car.
Alex Farré (Familea Miranda, Virus), Edu, Juanjo and Jordi (El Gos Binari) are always adding and subtracting coconuts so as it never balances, looking for inexact results. With an explosive mix of math-rock, punk and tropicalia (?), this band from Barcelona are able to shake Don Caballero's coffin while getting their knickers in a twist because Valina research into Faraquet, because ZA! jam with Don Vito or because Animal Collective learn to sing badly.
This will be their first concert in Berlin. If you come to see them, maybe they ask you if their car is still outside.

m0ck from Berlin challenges us in all the best ways: the trio oscillates between scintillating outbursts and minimalistic reservation. Its unique and yet catchy sound feeds on sources such as post hardcore. Bands like Karate, Honey For Petzi, or Tortoise are important influences. Persisting melodies, rhythmic ruptures and free floating structures that are given to sudden changes combine to create an experience of Puzzle-Rock that lends itself to a very fine listening.

POINO sind einer dieser Bands, von denen aus nur noch wenige gibt; diese Bands, die sich um das auch noch so kleinste Detail kümmern, um gleich darauf in ein Inferno aus Lärm abzugleiten, dass es dich nur so durchschüttelt. Diese Art von Rock –kratzig und rau-, die

Dunkelheit ausstrahlt, die von der du denkst, dass irgendetwas Trostloses oder Hoffnungsloses drin wäre. Irgendwie so als ob POINO in ihrer Kindheit ihren kleinen Lieblingsdackel von mehreren Polizeiwägen überfahren gesehen hätten, so als ob sie von den Leibwächtern des Bürgermeisters bei der Eröffnungsveranstaltung des BER von dem Canapé ferngehalten worden wären. Letztendlich so, als ob sich Wahnsinn und Dissonanz die Hände schüttelten. PIONO verleiht all dem Gestalt – und lässt dich ratlos und verstört zurück.

SFERICS is a guitar hero. Ein Typ, der sich verschrieben hat bei zig verschiedenen Bands und Projekten mitzumischen (Petethepiratesquid /Sun Worship). Zwischen Abladen, Auf- und Abbau und wieder Einladen hat er immer noch Zeit die Gitarre in die Hand zu nehmen und solo einige Melodien zu ersinnen; Melodien, die dich festhalten und nicht mehr loslassen, um dich an einen Ort mitzunehmen, von dem du nur noch auf allen Vieren wieder nach Hause kommst. Die Em­pö­rung war groß, als sich vor ei­ni­gen Jah­ren die ers­ten Nazis als 
Hard­core Fans ou­te­ten, das Mos­hen an­fin­gen und die As­ke­se pre­dig­ten. 
Die ei­ge­ne Moral und Ethik aus dem Munde eines Fa­schis­ten zu ver­neh­men war 
un­er­träg­lich. Es muss­te sich um dreis­ten Dieb­stahl, ja um eine 
feind­li­che Über­nah­me han­deln. Die ver­meint­li­chen An­grif­fe von außen
